Mason Lovette Band takes the stage on Friday, April 21st to kick off our entertainment for Dogwood Festival 2017.  Mason Lovette Band is sponsored by Martinho’s Bakery, Deli & Pizza

Saturday, April 22nd – Three stages will be presenting back to back entertainment performances.

The Castaways Band 12:00 noon-1:00 p.m., 1:30-2:30 p.m. and 3:00-4:00 p.m. The Carolina Beach Music Awards “Hall Of Fame” and Award Winning Castaways are the premier party band in the Carolinas and Virginia. A reputable band known throughout the South, The Castaways posses over fifty years of experience in the beach music industry. From it’s beginning in Durham, NC in 1961, The Castaways have been pleasing audiences with their unique flavor of Beach, Soul, and Rock N’ Roll for generations of fans. But don’t let the fact that the band has been around for fifty years fool you. High energy, current songs, and fun on stage will bring a party to all age groups! The Castaways original music can be heard on Beach Music radio shows throughout the Southeast.

With 7 members on stage, The Castaways bring a full sound that includes live horns and versatile vocals covering a variety of music. Don’t be surprised if you hear some current country, Top-40, or a little southern-rock as well!  No tricks or gadgets – what you see is what you hear!

5:00-7:00 p.m. – Red Dirt Revival presented by Whiskey Sowers

Red Dirt Revival is a country band from Lexington, NC. They are currently the house band for Johnny n’ Junes Ultra Saloon in Winston Salem, NC.

RDR is quickly gaining recognition in the local music scene as being a must see show. Their song selection consists of music for the ages…all ages that is! Playing everything from the classic days of the outlaws, the crooners of the 90’s, and all the way till today along with some original material, you are sure to be singing and dancing the whole show. Multi-part vocal harmonies and the use of various traditional instruments set RDR apart from most bands.
