Piedmont Electric Membership (PEMC) is an electric utility cooperative which celebrates its 75 year in the year 2012. We were organized by a group of farmers who wanted electricity to their houses and farms. Through the Rural Electrification Act, the farmers were able to organize and form a cooperative, founded and known locally as REA. That cooperative (PEMC) now delivers electricity to 30,000 + members in Orange, Alamance, Caswell, Person, Durham, and Granville Counties and employs a total of 110 employees at three locations – Hillsborough, Caswell County and Roxboro – and operates under a Board of Directors comprised of 10 members.

Dr. Lane S. Anderson, III
Please join us at our January 4th general meeting as we welcome Dr. “A” as our spotlight speaker. He is a Board Certified Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the American Psychological Association (APA). He completed his clinical internship at the Greensboro Urban Ministry and has been in private practice for over 20 years. He is the author of “Care Enough to Discipline: Raising Children for the 21st Century.”
