President Donna Tilley opened the meeting with introductions of members and guests and thanked Monica Robinson with Century Link for today’s refreshments. Gwen Meeks with Liquid Sunshine provide today’s coffee.
The minutes were approved as presented. David Hawks, treasurer, reported $13,994.39 in checking and 31,165.20 in money market account.
Old Business:
- More than 35 members and guests attended the recent Membership Mingle held at the Woodlawn School on Thursday, October 22.
- We have purchased a new keyboard for the elderly group that meets at the Mebane Arts Center.
60 Second Business Happenings
- Cheryl Ray with Sports Endeavors said they were having their big sale on November 12.
- Gwen Meeks said she has started a new coffee service, Liquid Sunshine. She will come to your office and set up a coffee pot. She is offering potential new customer a three-day trial at no cost.
- Jill Auditori with Solgarden announced that the Holiday Extravaganza will be held Downtown on November 5 from 5-9 p.m.
New Business
The MBA Christmas luncheon will be held on Wednesday, December 2, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Mebane Arts and Community Center. Members can have 2 guests/business. Additional guests are $15 each. We need volunteers to help with decorations and room set-up.
5- minute Business Spotlight
Dr. Tara Corbett, with Mebane Family Chiropractic, said her business was about health and wellness with a concentration on anatomy. Mebane Family Chiropractic has been open for 5 years and is located at 1252 S. Fifth St.
Curtis Davis with Affordable Blinds and Shutter Express will have the 5-minute Business Spotlight for January.
